library messed up my folders on my macbook
so i have a perfectly organized library with 20 categories on my account, i keep up to date with it and haven’t had issues. i use my macbook sometimes for when i want to be in my bed and play games. but today i opened my steam on my macbook and there’s like 3 folders left?? one of them being uncategorized? it just deleted random folders but not on my PC it’s still got all my stuff on it. wtf? is there something i did that caused this? is there something i can do to prevent it? feeling really frustrated about having to redo my entire library JUST for my mac

Basically just copy the 'leveldb' folder from your up-to-date client to your Mac client that is messing up. Make backups to be safe. Or try renaming the 'leveldb' folder so Steam has to re-download/sync it and the renamed one can stay there as a backup.

Mac location: /Users/<your user>/Library/Application Support/Steam/config/htmlcache/Local Storage/leveldb

PC location: C:\Users\<your user>\AppData\Local\Steam\htmlcache\Local Storage\leveldb
