Hide Windows?
I think I'm done with Steam. Has this happened to you?

Need a new game to play. Let's pick a category I like. Now select Mac only. Scroll through a few screens non-paginated listings. Click a game to see more about it. Hit the back button. Now I'm at the top of my list with all the Windows titles back. Seriously, I've had a $30 credit for MONTHS that I can't find anything to spend it on because I'm so sick of having to wade through Windows games, not to mention all the games that don't work on Mac past Catalina, which came out over five years ago.

Anyone have a solution for this? I think I'm just ready to give up on Steam and let my credit go as a wash.

Open a ticket with Valve. Its a frustration for many people - me included.

Windows(c) belongs in the 00's and better support for MacOS and GNU should be a priority.

That was my first thought but I couldn't figure out how to contact them... they don't seem to want our feedback. Can you please point me in the direction of how to open a ticket?
If you own an Apple Silicon computer (M1, M2...) try Whisky. Look it up on YouTube, but it basically allows you to emulate Windows and it works great on my M4 Mini.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but osx now has a lower useage percent then Linux. Less then 1%.

I find that surprising, but it doesn't matter: It's in everyone's best interests to only suggest games to me that I can actually buy.

I just checked this and it appears in the client when you go to Categories on the start page but not on the website. If you’re using the client the trick is to first choose macOS as platform then category. Then if you click on a title and go back only your chosen category will reset but not Mac as platform. On the website clicking on any title will open a tab or window in the browser so your start page with the chosen options won’t change.

Another solution is to click on the search button without writing anything and getting a full list. Then you can choose macOS as platform, category, language and other things. Then you can sort the result by release date or other options. If you click on any title and then go back the list/page looks exactly the same with the options you chose.

Nah, you don't hate it - you yearn for it.

Macintosh is not exactly affordable for 99% of the world population. Don't average out your surroundings, but account for Billions of people in the underdeveloped countries. If you consider that Apple computers are even more expensive on other currencies, due to many factors (undervalued compared to the dollar, import taxes, etc), you'll understand its never meant to be popular.

GNU/Linux, however, is just as awesome as Mac and can run in any PC. I'm not hurt or saddened by the fact that its growing - I use it too!

As for Linux in the general sense, Android is already the most used Operating System on the planet. Just think how many people in the Global South don't have computers but use cellphones regularly (and they're not using iPhones, for the reasons above).

Unix-like OSs are better for everything, including general daily use.

For a whole set of other reasons, Microsoft still has got a grip on the PC market, but that doesn't mean that is about quality (its obviously not) or that it will perdure (I'm hoping that it isn't).

In any way or form, liking or disliking these facts, Mac and GNU users buy more than Windows users. We're small in numbers, but we spend more.
50% of all of those Windows machines in the Steam Survey may as well be bots and public and cybercafe computers that some kid installed the client to play when not at home.
