I am using a Guilikit king kong 2, which should register as an xbox one controller, on OS 11.1, steam is not recognizing the controller plugged in or using bluetooth. It doesn't respond to any inputs, i have disabled steam inputs, forced enabled steam inputs and overlay but this didn't change anything. Neither did restarting steam or my laptop.

A controller detecting website recognizes the exact make and model of my controller and detects inputs fine. I also cannot change my input on the options screen. If that helps.
