Logging in to Steam doesn't work on Mac.
When I try to start Steam, I get the login window, but the QR code never loads, and if I try to login it times out after a good while, giving me the option to start in Offline mode (which doesn't work either). This is on OSX 14.7.2, on an MacBook Air M2. I have Steam on Windows and Linux on the same WiFi network, and it works fine on both of those.

There is no local firewall running on the Mac.
I've tried to completely remove, including ~/Library/Application Support/Steam, and re-install Steam, which worked a few days ago, but now, without me doing any changes or running updates, it no longer does.
I've treid disabling Limit IP Address tracking in the network settings.
I've tried running both xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine and -rc on both /Applications/Steam.app and the Steam folder in Application Support.
I've tried rebooting several times.
I track the log file when doing all of this, and have not seen any obvious errors when running it.
I've run "/usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license" to make sure rosetta is installed.
And I'm kind of running out of ideas.

Any suggestion?

I've since tried upgrading to OSX 15.2, but the issue remains.

I completely removed Steam following this guide. https://steamhost.cn/help_steampowered_com/en/faqs/view/30EB-87BF-531F-512D and then re-installed it, and after that it worked for a bit. I left the computer on for an hour while I was out with Steam open, and when I got back I could no longer install games in Steam, getting "No internet connection"...even though all the store pages work...so there clearly is an internet connection. There are also weird things, like on game pages where it normally shows you who of your friends owns the same game, there is just a link to sign in to see them...even though I'm signed in.

I don't really want to have to completely re-install Steam every couple of hours to be able to use it. :steamfacepalm:

Solved this. It turns I had a .pac fil set up for a proxy setup, that was somehow messing things up.
