Feature request: Windows games
Apple already did the work and made their own answer to Proton, that works pretty well. Valve doesn't have to do anything but integrate Whisky or the GPTK into the Mac client and allow Windows games to be installed. This would eliminate the need to have the Windows client installed in a bottle and potentially have two copies of Steam running at once.

Valve doesnt control either of those projects and whisky's dev has left the project.

I have no idea why Mac gamers have this fetish of trying to put Apple's burdens on Valve but no Valve isn't going to bundle 3rd party software with Steam and potentially violate licenses.

Also no, Apple has "done all the work". They are claiming there newest versions of middle ware can see "up to" 80% performance of what Windows gamers see and again for a limited set of titles.

In contrast proton plays literally everything only being stopped by some 3rd party anticheats and with native performance or better compared to windows.

If you want better compatibility take it up with Apple and stop with this insane idea that its somehow Valve's responsibility.
