Those reports are a bit old though. The latest version is 25.0.1 so worth a try. EA Sports also has anti-cheat so that's a problem when using Wine/Whisky/Crossover. Some say it's due to lack of support for AVX but both Crossover and macOS Sequoia has support, but it must be enabled in Crossover.
What is AVX? How do I enable it on Crossover to get it to work?
If the whole issue is the anti-cheat software, would other games work if I download them through Whiski/Steam... like GTA V for example?
Just as I wrote you could try to see if the game runs in Crossover but as you see according to the compatibility database the game doesn't run. You can google AVX but they’re advanced instructions for x86 CPUs that speed up calculation processes and improve performance. AVX (advanced vector extensions) are used in games, image processing and video encoding/decoding among other things. Apple Silicon doesn’t support AVX so Apple updated and released GPTK 2 with support for AVX instructions. This can be enabled in Crossover by inserting "ROSETTA_ADVERTISE_AVX" = "1" into the cxbottle.conf, at the end of the page.
Games that don’t require anti-cheat can work but since Whisky is old they can break eventually. GTA V works for some and not for others.
