Apple Store has no sales unlike Steam and every other game store?

Is it really true? And why? Games cost the same there like here on steam and I don't see a sale section like here on steam. Lies of P for example

Games do occasionally go on sale on the Mac (and iPad, and iPhone) app store. I've seen Lies of P on sale on the Mac app store before and I've seen Assassin's Creed Mirage on sale before as well.

The biggest difference is that there aren't big events for discounts like there are on steam. On the apple app stores they just pop up randomly and very rarely and without much fanfare
