can someone help pls?

I have a problem, maybe someone can help me, I'm playing via Steam on my MacBook, everything was fine, 3 months before yesterday, the pair just stopped running, I click on the icon and it jumps and nothing happens, and if I hover over it with the mouse, it writes that the program is not responding . Help someone, please

I have the same problem. Maybe it's been updated for mac recently, I tried re-installing, clearing cache etc. but still same issue as this

Is your MacOS version 11 ("Big Sur") or newer. Steam stopped supporting MacOS 10.15 ("Catalina") in February so it may be the issue.

If it's the issue, your only option is to either update your OS or buy a new computer.

Mine is 12.3 Monterrey

Yesterday I had the same problem at first, then after a restart it opened fine.
Today it's just hanging and going into 'Application not responding'

Have re-installed, deleted all files, prefs, cache etc., ran all tips like terminal commands I found in the pinned Mac help forum on here but nothing works

There is another way possibly though it might be pretty hard to get used to. Going through Steam on your phone to talk or join games instead if you find a way to hook it to the computer for joining at least.
