Even though you changed your name, Steam friends might still see the old one because it’s cached (saved locally) on their side.
🛠️ Here’s What You Can Try:
You already changed your name — that’s step one done!
Just make sure you changed your Profile Name, not your account name (which can't be changed).
Ask your friend to do this:
Go to their Friends List
Right-click your name
Click “Manage” > “Clear Nickname” (or Edit Nickname and delete it)
Steam allows friends to set custom nicknames for each other — your friend may still be seeing one they accidentally saved.
Restart Steam (just to refresh things)
