Kids have been the reason it took so long to save up for me. I actually had saved up enough in Oct of last year but my daughter broke her wrist and the unexpected medical bill ate up my Steamdeck fund. Needless to say as soon as I hit 702 saved I clicked purchase haha
If you are going to buy additional protective glass, then I would prefer transparent rather than frosted.
And don't buy colored keyboards and initial video screensavers in the points shop. You can install any one through Decky.
Many games marked "Not supported on steam deck" are actually fully supported. Just watch YouTube and most likely there will be your game and a way to launch it.
Oh, yes, some more updates break the Steam Deck, so don't upgrade as soon as you receive the update, wait a while.
