Can't get trading cards even though I should get 5 from 10
I played a game and I don't know if it's because I played bongo cat in the background but I am elligiable to get 5 trading cards but I don't get them for some reason.
Idk why, I already have like 6hr in the game alrwady and most players get them all after 2hr at most :,)

If your game is set to private, you won’t be able to receive any trading cards.

Also, if you got the game through a 100% discount, card drops won’t be available for that title either.

oooh, ok.
My game is on private, yes, I didnt know that would also cause me to not get any trading cards.
Will i get my trading cards immediatly after turning it not private anymore or do i need to play a certain time again?
(Im just gonna try again)

What does "Mark Private" on a game do?

In general, marking a game as private will cause the game to appear to other users on the Steam platform as if you did not own it at all. If a game is marked as private:
  • You will not receive Steam Trading Cards for the game while it is marked as Private.

They should drop upon opening the game again.

I just found that out recently too! I had set a game to private without realizing it could affect trading card drops. I was down to just one last card and played for hours—nothing happened. :yetucry:
Then I stumbled across a forum post mentioning the whole private game thing. Switched it back to public, and ta-da! The card dropped as soon I opened the game. :yetuhappy:
