You can not use your points to buy games.

Steam Points - How it works

its used to get stuff to customize your profile. Like the Avatar, Avatar frames and profile backgrounds.

If you have customized your profile and still have some points left, can you like gimme some points? (you got to award the points via the profile awards)

Once you used your point to customize your profile, you can buy seasonal badges. Beyond that, the only real thing you can use them on is giving awards to whoever you want on Steam, as points are functionally worthless.
