1. Use a Web Browser (Not Steam Client)

Sometimes the Steam client’s UI bugs out. Try this:

Go to https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com

Click your profile > Artwork

Hover over the artwork you want to delete

Click "Manage Artwork" > "Delete"

Wait a moment — it should confirm deletion. If not, go to the next step.
2. Check If the Artwork Is Still in Use

You can’t delete artwork that is being used as:

Your profile background

A featured artwork showcase

Or linked to a workshop/mod page

Do this:

Go to your profile → Click “Edit Profile”

Under Featured Showcase or Background, make sure the artwork isn't selected

Set something else (or “None”)

Now try deleting the artwork again.
3. Clear Your Steam Web Cache

If it’s just refusing to update/delete, this can help:

Open Steam

Go to Settings > Web Browser

Click Delete Web Browser Cache and Cookies

Then restart Steam and try deleting again.
4. Use the Direct Delete URL

If nothing else works, try this direct method:

Find the Artwork ID:
Go to your artwork’s page → the URL will look like:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=123456789

Then go to this URL:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/delete
Use the form to manually input the artwork ID and delete it.

5. Steam Sync/Cloud Delay

Sometimes Steam simply doesn’t sync immediately. If you just uploaded it, try:

Waiting 10–15 minutes

Then refreshing your artwork page in a browser (not Steam client)

Try again to delete

Still Can't Delete?

If the above all fail, it may be a backend glitch.
