That's not really a pack It is lieterally replacing a previous product.
I owned both so i can't say which one this is a replacement for.

Technically It replaces The Ultimate Doom, a.k.a Doom 1. if you check the store page for Doom 1 + Doom 2 in waybackmachine it's the page for Ultimate Doom, same appid (2280)

Because that is no longer available for purchase either.
They riolled it into Ultimate DOom's Appid butthat doesn't mean it was limited to that.

On the other hand this does kinda answer OP's question. If it was a key for Ultimate doom then it will likely grant both. But as said. The best way to answer this question is to drop an eamail to ID.

The update notice did say that it was free for anyone that owned the old versions of Doom and/or Doom 2:

"Note: Existing owners of DOOM (1993) and / or DOOM II on any of the above platforms receive a free upgrade to the new combined game, and can still access their previously owned versions."

The thing is idk how that applies to keys redeemed after the fact since i've never done it. I would assume it would count but you never know.

What’s the issue with just buying the double pack? It's only 10 credits, not exactly a fortune ...

i currently have Doom 2, Final Doom, The Master Levels for Doom 2, and Doom 1 + Doom 2
what bugs me is i wish i had Doom 1 but it's not sold anymore.
they only sell this remaster called Doom 1 + Doom 2 which is good
but i was trying to find if they sell a Key for the original doom.
problem is anywhere that might be clearly listing the original steam release ... if you pay for it it's just Doom 1 + Doom 2

i have been able to get old games that aren't sold anymore by buying a key and activating it.

but the keys for this original doom steam release are just false advertising.
