New gamescom steam event crashes/power surge my mic?
I dont really know how that even has something to do with my microphone but yeah, my usb where my hyperX quadcast is connected has some surge while looking at that screen, tried with other apps and its just steam on that page that gives the power surge, any ideas why?

it still powersurges when i open that page in web browser as well

sounds more like a usb controller issue than steam itself
those event pages run heavy video/animations and can spike cpu/usb usage
try plugging the mic into another usb port (preferably on the back of the pc) or update chipset/usb drivers
it’s not steam directly damaging your mic, just the system struggling with the load
