Scam Awareness: "I noticed that you purchased my item in the market"
grift kiddies are up to their old tricks again. I have a blurb from a now reported user who attempted to try and pull a fast one on me. Here's the text followed by what they were attempting to do:

"I noticed that you purchased my item in the market, but the funds haven't been credited to my wallet yet. I have a screenshot of the transaction; could you please verify if the avatar and name associated with the transaction belong to you? and after this happened my main account got hack." -Scammer

Their plan was to make me think I purchased an Australium gun (From TF2) and their funds didn't successfully go through, I didn't fall for this because I don't make enough money for such "luxuries" but I understand some players do, hence why I'm making this warning.

If someone approaches you with a blurb similar to this. You can easily find out if the claim is true by A: Checking your inventory for the item or B: checking emailed receipts for a payment of that amount. If you have neither of those matching the purchase they claim, don't even humour them.

Stay safe steam users :VBCOOL:

Why even bother to check?

Even if this were true then it's a Steam problem, not yours. End of story.
My stance .... not my problem I mean funds are deducted from my wallet (with proof) so not my problem if the funds never arrived.
Extremely old scam.

Just a reminder, all Market transactions are final anyways.
