Secure your account now.
That was not support who contacted you, that was a scammer pretending to be support.
Anyone contacting you outside of Steam's ticket system, claiming to be from Steam Support is a liar.
Support will ONLY use the ticket system to contact you.
They also have no need to "clean" your account.
You got scammed.
At some point in the past you probably logged into one of the many third part "trading" sites (they're actually phishing sites run by scammers) with your Steam credentials...
The scammers sat on those details untill they figured it was worth to exploti it...
Your account is compromised.
Do not trade until your account is secured.
Take the following steps to secure your account:
1. Scan for malware. If you don't have a malware scanner use https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/dev/apikey
Steam does not return inventory items or wallet funds.

It was not an official Valve (Steam) employee.
The scammer is still on your friend list, by the way.
One of your "friends" uses a Valve logo as their pfp. I assumed this was the person you were talking to.
Have you already secured your account?
You did all the steps I posted earlier?
