Report a translation problem
This is not true, when someone reports a user both the Publisher(unless the developer is both they won't see the report) and the Steam Community mods see it. Depending on the offense it could be one or the other that slaps a warning or ban on you.
Maintain some distance for a good while a bit, that's all I can say.
Now. I LITERALLY have receipts. Share your story or leave.
Also, no lawyer is going to be able to help you when you get banned from a privately owned and operated platform. There's no legal ground for you to stand on
It wasn't anything to do with a current ban, just a response to a ticket you submitted in regards to a ban of some kind. Looks like they told you that any future bans will last for 6 months.
It takes a lot to be banned for that length of time and for support to turn around and say "No, we're not taking it easy on you".
Here's hoping you can keep within the rules and avoid that from happening.
EDIT: It looks like they're also referring to community bans. So it seems you're somehow getting yourself banned from multiple game hubs, triggering a community ban. Given these bans will now be 6 months in length for you, seems like the problem is on your end.
People can post on whatever they thread they want to. And given your somewhat overblown response to simple posts, I would say the bans are probably well-deserved.
Calm down a little and probably take a break from posting. You can't get banned if you don't post.
You're either friends with the OP or an alt of the OP to have access to the ban message.
I asked a genuine question to seek clarification on their issue. It was not bait. They took it that way, posted several times to tell me to "get out of the thread, not falling for it" and it looks like it got them banned.
Had they just answered the original question without all this nonsense, things would have gone differently.
You can also be banned from specific game forums for quite literally any reason or none whatsoever. Asking Steam Support about this results in "Game devs run their forums how they wish."
Getting banned from multiple forums for quite literally anything or nothing results in a community ban barring you from participating in ANY forum for X amount of time.
Trying to appeal this will result in "We've investigated ourselves and found no wrong-doing".
Eventually steam support will simply ignore your tickets because they have no true customer support or care about keeping the forums clean.
