steam overlay broken asf
i cannot open the steam overlay anymore in CS2 due to a favorited guide going private. when attempting to do so, it completely softlocks my game for a moment, creates stutter and input lag and crashing the game on rare certainties. a error message presists in the overlay saying

Something went wrong while displaying this content. _Refresh?_
Error Reference: Shared SteamUI_9695120_0fe4f754b7e880fe
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'votes_up')

i know exactly what its referencing, so when i try to go to my favorites and delist the favorited private guide, it persists.

tried contacting steam support but to no avail...

Having this same issue, albeit with Dead by Daylight. Had no idea what was causing it, although after reading your post I checked my list of favorited guides, and found the culprit.

Some guide I favorited has since been removed but is stuck in the list with no way to remove it. Very annoying.

Disable that.

the browser isnt the issue, the game tab/game info hotslot is the issue.
it makes my game completely unplayable whenever i use the steam overlay. just triggering it alone ruins the game

for me the culprits were guides that were not available anymore

i removed them from my favorites and now the overlay is working as it should

go on your profile, click on guides, select your favorites below items in the right section and from there you can unfavorite the ones you want
