Issue with ".top" Domain Being Flagged on Steam Chat/Community

I’m having a problem with my website, which uses a .top domain. Every time I share the link on Steam Chat/Community, it gets hit with a “WARNING: SUSPICIOUS URL” message. My site is just a simple leaderboard, nothing shady or harmful.

At first, I thought it was something wrong with my site, but I found out that any website with a ".top" domain gets flagged like this on Steam. Since ".top" is a legit domain extension, I’m pretty sure this is a mistake maybe Steam meant to target a specific site but ended up blocking all ".top" domains

This issue has been going on for over a year now. I’ve already tried reaching out to Steam Support, and they told me to post about it here on the forum. So, I’m hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction. Is there another way to get this fixed ?

Those, at least in the USA, are legit website endings.
I know other countries have their own.
And even then, Steam will give you a warning if you click a link with those.
Mainly due to scammers using various websites to try and steal your login info for Steam or any other service.

Kinda reminds me how some email apps automatically flag .info domains as spam.
Because it's apparently often used for that.

I wonder if .top sites have some kind of notoriety like that as website, since it seems to be a cheap domain.

It's intended to signify that a website or individual is at the "top" of their field. While it's a popular choice for businesses and individuals wanting to showcase their excellence, it's also been noted for its association with potential misuse by scammers and spammers.

That would explain why it gets flagged.
Scammers pretending to be top of their field to trick people.

That doesn’t make sense. I use my website to display a leaderboard for the top players in Fall Guys. I think banning a domain entirely is unrealistic.

There are a LOT of top level and effective (like co.uk) top level domains. Even when I was born, there were more than just those three.

I have places that outright ban the xyz TLD because it is literally 100% spam.
