Steam bot rejecting refund. Any tips?
I have refunded only 1 game in the last 3 yrs. So no way it should be considered as "abuse". I bought the game by accident on my account while I was trying to gift it to a friend.
I bought the game just today with 0 playtime and so it should be eligible for refund.

Edit - Thanks so much all who helped. Contacting human being worked instantly and they refunded it. I used the balance to gift the game to my friend again. Moderators can close the thread now🥰

Did you refund games a lot in the past and got a warning up to " we wont grant any further refunds" message?
Because thats permanent. Does not matter if you did not refund anything for multiple years afterwards, once your refund rights have been terminated for your account thats it.

If thats not the case your only option is to contact Steam Support and ask whats up.

I'll just wait for a real person to answer I guess. Thanks for the help

Refund requests are dealt with by the automated system. If you want to talk to a real person, you'll have to contact support directly.

Did you buy the game more than 14 days ago?

Im assuming after your ''accidentally'' brought it, you went ahead and played it past the 2 hour /14 day refund window???
There is more to this story...

You left out the part WHY the refund request was refused. It says it clearly on the reply notice.

I mentioned that in the post already. It says abuse.

Put in a customer support ticket in if you haven't. If you get automated replies, keep trying tickets.

I raised the "I have a question about this purchase" ticket. Hopefully it works.

Why do people think they are entitled to a 'free' refund just because they've never done a refund before. That's not how that works.

Also

I bought the game by accident on my account while I was trying to gift it to a friend.

If you're wondering about the 'abuse' part, Steam definitely sees something you're not conveniently telling us.

People are eligible to refund because consumer laws exist. Even physical products can be returned. Since I haven't played the game and 2 weeks hasn't passed, I'm still eligible.
