Cause of steam web browser i m forced to block Steam

i m forced to stop using Steam. (i already blocked it)
can't use games while blocking Steamwebhelper .
Steam Browser pass through parental device.
Family mode is a joke.
And Steam do more to let people access to p*rn. (no browser mode is disabled)
I have begun to buy games i own from Epic Games and Gog, i m mad to buy again my own game (and will maybe spend thousands of euros to get all games i have)
but Steam don't want to let me live without p*rn.
it's been years since i try to find solution to get rid of p*rn on Steam but it's almost impossible without someone else to be the admin.
... I thinks it's a farewell.

Epic don't have adult p*rn game
Gog dont have internal browser. (can block game )

Fun Fact: most kids watch p*rn throughout Steam and Playstation browser.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Epic might have games with beautiful girls; but, are you sure they got uncensored waifus as well? You might be hiding your game list, but you forgot the groups...

If you see adult content, it is due to your account settings. You have to explicitly accept to see this kind of content to have it shown to you.

1. There porn games on Gog, maybe didn't realize it for past two years now.

2. There nudity in some games, which I bet you didn't stop to think of that, and that actually on ALL stores include Epic & Gog.

3. Can you back up your claim where "most" watch stuff from?

4. PS5 you have to do lot of workaround just to get a browser to open, and this requires reading, or watching a guide how to do it.

5. I somehow doubt this is related to kids, but more related you having personal problems for yourself that need to seek professional help.

i never said my problem is about kid to acces p*rn . i said since is easy to get acces to porn even when we tried to block.

nudity is not a problem.

ps5 browser is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ like the ps4 one: same easily acces to p*rn.

i was a kid before.... easily access to p*rn when i wanted cause parental control was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 20 years ago.... now software parental device are better but now many app have web browser included.

i don't hide my game list: they are plenty of p*rn game yes. is one of the reasons why i blocked steam even if my main problem is the uncontrolled web browser.

I find it harder to sign in to Steam to watch porn than just going to Google search...

You do know that you can also have parental controll in your router, right? You can literally block websites there.

It isn't easy to access on PS5 because there no dedicated app to doing so, you have to look up a guide how to even get access to it in the first place, so which part unclear?

Literally every client uses Chromium or some combined variant like Electron which contains Chromium in it.

Gog uses GalaxyClientHelper Aplication.exe
Epic uses EpicWebHelper.exe
EA use "EA.exe" (Electron based)
Battle.net uses "Battle.net.exe" (Electron based)
Uplay uses Ubisoft Connect WebCore.exe
Playnite uses CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe
Discord uses Discord.exe (Electron based)

ALL OF THEM USE CEF

If you block the web components on their respective clients, they will all stop working

So good luck with your ignorant 'boycott', because you will literally not be able to run any games. Ever.

Epic launcher is still being developed, it will have a built in browser at some point then off you go buying games elsewhere, gamebar now has a browser baked in too for looking up game guides but can look up other things too. most kids get around blocks by just changing the dns, i know i am a parent too.

Parental controls DO NOT WORK, kids have found ways around them, none of Microsoft parental tools work, i have literally seen my son just take 2 minutes to bypass a ton of protections so i just gave up and basically educated him.
