I wasn't asking for opinions. But thanks for insulting me for no reason than you disagree.
Wait... Are you talking about the event artwork?
This is the new artist for this year's seasonal events... https://timpeacock.com/
Ask him what's going on... https://timpeacock.com/Info
They weren't wrong, mind.
It looks like some sort of summoning ritual.
Bro you look like a real person with logic. I am sorry to tell you, what you looking for is not here. I agree with your points. Have a nice day. AMAZING STEAM
It really must be hard combing the discussions looking for something to be offended by and personally attack anyone that dares to question something, even as simple as artwork.
Seriously seek help.
Honestly I didn't see anyone terribly offended by your observation. Though to be blunt it's fairly obvious it's ambiguous on purpose. The sorcerer is summoning or liberating something. Angels aren't the only winged humanoids in mythology or fiction, and some technologically advanced humans have stumbled upon the scene. The artwork is about discovery and various possibilities.
That being said if you sensed even the slightest bit of disdain. That might be in response to your channeling the satanic panic, or because you are acting under the influence of the satanic panic. In either case you should probably look into what the satanic panic was and still is. The moral of the story is viewing everything through the lens of religion. Can be terribly obnoxious to others.
You see, in most video games: you're just one [or a few] hero[es] versus a huge hoard of bad guys. The odds are INTENDED to be unsettling (that's what makes it suspenseful and compelling.)
So here is a society of dark cultists in there cave trying to entrap an angel for whatever their scheme is (using it as an infinite energy source, feeding it to an eldritch horror for its favor)
BUUUUT THEN YOU burst in on your hover skiff, with your team of plucky do-gooders, just in time to crash their nefarious party and save the angel from its fate and likely save the world from whatever effects were about to unravel if the cultists were successful!
