It was a sale like any other, which is absolutely fine by me.

It was a good sale. I've added some nice stuff to my ol'pile'o'games.

Well, I think it was decent, even though I wasn't able to get anything.

If I could, I would have gotten

Rogue Warrior = $1.99+tax

Cyber ManHunt Bundle with both Cyber Manhunt 1 and 2 = $12.47

Dog Days of Summer v5.1 AVN = $4.79+tax

Anomalous Coffee Machine = $7.99+tax

Dystopika (not on sale but is cheap) $6.99+tax

If I had to choose just one, it would be the Cyber Manhunt 1 and 2 bundle.
Unlike the last winter one, where nothing catched my eye, this summer I've found a couple deals on the sweet spot.

I think for me the sale was an exceedingly productive one. I managed to put together a massive collection with this sale. Between it and last winters sale I think I'm good for a few years. Which is kind of what I wanted to actually get accomplished. To get out ahead of inflation, and to not be a victim of the crash.

As for the sale itself I've noticed the industries new paradigm shift. With a lot of older games now going up in price significantly, and most recent AAA releases having a new rock bottom. Frankly it doesn't seem to matter as much how they sold. They'll go down to fifty percent off, but they'll stay there indefinitely now. You can wait for further discounts, but they simply wont be forthcoming.

To be honest anything breaking the mold seems to be priming the audience. Either the developer is going to release an expansion for the game, or they are going to have a new installment in the series dropping. The publishers/developers seem less inclined to clear inventory. To get that last drop out of their older releases. Maybe they've realized doing so cannibalizes new game sales.

Whatever your own personal take on the market. Only about a third of the twenty seven games I got. Were got for under the ten dollars mark this sale. As I expected this to be what would end up happening. I wasn't surprised by the pricing, but it's still a tad bit disappointing. I only found a few games on my list actually beat my expectations. Most just sat there stubbornly taunting me.

With that being said I think the shopping experience is getting worse, and frankly I found that the online content creators weren't really helpful. I had to move a lot of shovel ware on my own. Just to unearth some potential hidden games, because the system itself wouldn't recommend them, and the content creators end up parroting one another.

Anyway I managed to get what I needed out of the sale, but I had to work a lot harder to find the really great deals.
The N. Sane Trilogy was 90% off, that was unexpected.
The "Deep Discounts" tab had delivered for me once again, so that makes me satisfied enough.

I was simply not interested after their *can´t say* and *un-can´t say* for a couple of times this year alone
I take my money elsewhere.
I picked up a few things off Steam, and some stuff off Fanatical and Nintendo.

Not quite so unexpected as Eternal Strands being half off. With the game not even being out for half a year yet, and the game itself getting relatively positive reviews. I'm betting on it being one of those hidden gems. That has gone unnoticed due to being in the shadow of bigger releases.
I didn't pay much attention to it, since I was busy with solving my library backlog problem. I feel like I waste too much money on mere entertainment anyway.
