Steam flagged a chargeback, but there's no transaction or dispute on my end
Steam recently restricted my account, claiming there was a chargeback on a couple of wallet transactions from earlier this month. The weird part is, I never disputed anything.

I checked with my bank and there’s no record of those Steam transactions at all. Nothing was charged, nothing was refunded, and no dispute was filed on them.

Steam support said this might happen if the card was reported compromised or canceled. For context, my card was compromised, but not until July 8th, and the Steam purchases Steam flagged happened on July 3rd. The only disputes I made were for unrelated charges from Discord and PayPal, and my bank confirmed that none of the Steam charges were touched. In fact, they don’t even show up in my bank transaction history, it’s like they never happened.

Now Steam is saying I need to reverse the dispute to lift the restriction, but there’s literally nothing to reverse.

Has anyone else run into this before? Could this be a Steam or payment processor issue? Support just keeps pointing me back to my bank, who already told me they have nothing on record. Any insight would help. Thanks in advance

Hello, im in the same place expect i don't have access to my old bank so there is no way to reverse the payment for me. Please update us on how they respond with this issue.
Banks usually chargeback recent purchases when the account holder files for fraudulent charges.

Yeah, I understand that, but I called and spoke with my bank regarding that and they said there was no dispute placed on Steam. I also did Steam transactions before and after the 3rd that the purchases took place and those haven't been touched.

The disputed purchases also don't appear in my credit card statement
