Awful tagging of porn content
Porn content used to just be tagged "porn," cause that's what it is. I had the tag excluded and was pretty happy with my recommendations and main page. Now, I noticed it ESPECIALLY in I Was A Teenage Exocolonist, game that has no explicit NSFW content, but the steam page in "similar titles" recommends me pure smut. So I checked my tags to see if anything reset, but apparently now porn games do not state their content correctly. To mute them, I would have to mute tags such as nudity or nsfw, which would also remove regular games for adults such as Witcher 3, for example.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. I know there's some crack-down happening right now, but this is NOT the way to deal with it. You either remove it fully or you allow us to exclude it correctly, cause I don't quite appreciate being forced nude body parts during intercourse while I'm hovering over a random game's recommended titles.

And yeah, I tried to keep this as PG as possible but the topic is not really helping me.

It is obnoxious that Steam doesn’t understand that adding games like Witcher 3 and BG3 to the NSFW filter is annoying, especially when all most people want to do is block the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ porn.

There needs to be a “No smut” button, where it doesn’t take a genius to realize that we’re talking about literal porn, not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Cyberpunk.

The problem is that Valves staff are a bunch of gooners who don’t understand the difference.

“Oh you don’t want to watch vaginal penetration? You must hate GTA then!”

Yeah, it used to be there! But now there is no difference between porn and regular adult nudity, because people wanted to get the porn off the website all-together, which I for one am all for, cause there should be a separate category for that or a separate launcher. Imagine if youtube merged with a pornsite and had the porn videos alongside videos about WW2 history.

store preferences allow you to exclude separately items that have some nudity or sex references (the proverbial witcher's gate 2077), a focus on nudity or sex, and explicit content.

are you using those or just some random tag?

oh yeah I have those turned off and it doesn't matter now that the porn tag is gone. I specifically excluded the tag because these settings are not working.
