What would happen to Steam under new ownership? (New CEO)
I mean, Gabe is not getting any younger (as he's 62, but will turn 63 in November) so do you think he'll continue to be the president of Valve until he dies of old age, or will he retire eventually? Even if he retired, who will be in his place? Will the new successor retain what made Steam great or be like "Musk morphed Twitter into X" which is more corporate slop and cash cow.

I guess it depends on the corporate mission statement and goals is defined well enough so that it wouldn't matter who happens to be in charge.
But it would probably be awesome if the South Park guys ran things around here.

Everything has already been planned for.

:nkCool:
I don't think Valve is one person. Everyone at Valve wants Steam to stay working. Everyone at Valve is very good at what they do. In the event that Gabe Newell does step down due to no longer being able to work, it's not going to be some random billionaire that takes his place. It's gonna be someone from Valve.

Prepare for unforeseen consequences.
Steam better not be Musked when/if Gabe Newell retires.

Twitter got better under Musk because he removed the censorship and finally allowed open discussions, it’s funny how many of the people who complain about it are the same ones now decrying censorship because they can’t play games that feed into their smut addiction.
