Profile Background Size
A ton of background images you can select are designed to have one image on the left and one image on the right of the profile. But in actuallity what happens is that both the left and the right side of the image get covered by the profile. See the two sreenshots below:

I understand that you could easily say it's on the developers to keep this in mind when designing backgrounds, but I see this getting messed up so consistenly that I think something must be up here. Either way, it would be so cool if there was some feature to increase the gap size between the left side and the right side of a profile background.

You can click on "Full Screen or Original Size" while editing your profile + Background, which will bring the sides closer or spreads them further out. You can also get a transparent profile (like the one I am using = Dying Light 2 10k Steam Points Game Profile) to see more of the background.

Just get one that fits to your liking.

switching between Full Screen and Original Size helps getting closer, but doesn't go all the way and a transparent profile is only a small help too but yeah, both are better than nothing.
