Beware of hacker
Hello everyone. This post is to warn everyone of possible hacking that i have encountered lately. He hacked my steam account i don't know how, and messaged me saying he is steam support. He blocked and removed all my friends and said my all games would be deleted too as well. I told him to wait so that i can contact steam support, he said i had 10 minutes. I don't know how he got access of my password, thankfully i had steamguard, and also i reset my pass quickly, so nothing was lost, just my friends. He also put link on my profile saying click on this link to recover, i didn't click.

The user is not a 'hacker' but you allowed your account to become compromised - probably by giving away your credentials to a scam site.

Make sure you secure it effectively with ALL the steps provided:-

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://steamhost.cn/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Joining sketchy Steam groups, such as groups for free items is bad for two reasons. First, scammers will target you because they think you have items they can steal. Second, they'll think you're gullible. People who join these kinds of groups probably are gullible enough to click on sketchy links and give away their passwords and such. That's generally how the scammers get into your account and remove your friends.
Contact your local police too. Its a crime and your games are a investment aswell
Definitely do what the first person stated

As for the contacting police, it's online, there's no point in doing that because it's not like you have their IP address, so it won't do anything having done so, while it is an offense, there will be nothing they can do about it

Even if they could delete all your games, due to the current situation, Steam can still restore those games having known your account was compromised

If they blocked all your friends, then removing them was pointless, as blocking people adds them to a list where you can just find them again anyways & re-add them instantly, so that was a redundant thing for them to do

Personally, it's best to use the web browser before clicking links, especially from someone such as a hacker, that way, at least when I use google chrome, I can see the hyperlink at the bottom, to see what it goes to, if it's too sketchy like has weird url paths or tracking, I tend to avoid it, it's generally not safe to click such things

As an extra measure to links, try right clicking & select copy link or copy path, this will allow you to copy it in a notepad on your system so you can see it directly, if you're afraid of clicking it directly

Nothing to see here, move along

As posted above, this is a scam, send them nothing, block and report.

@ OP

The first reply is spot on.
