"Language of comments and filter settings"
Users who have set a language other than English in their Steam settings and post comments in English should be aware that their reviews will not be visible to those reading reviews in English. Instead, they will only be seen by users who have their language filter set to match the reviewer's language.

For instance, if my primary language in the settings is Dutch, but I have also included German in my language filter settings, I should be able to see comments in both of those languages. However, I often come across comments in other languages (most frequently English) from Dutch and German users. These comments do not reach users who have their settings configured for English only.

My suggestion is this: anyone writing comments in English should set English as their primary language, and if they wish to read comments in other languages, they should specify this in their comment language filters. Only then will their efforts to write in a language different from their own effectively reach the intended audience.

No, you can click the language of reviews and select english, regardless of the language you use on your app.

If some users are so mentally duff that they cannot comprehend that big clickable menu where it says "laguage", that´s another topic.

You as the reader can turn off the language filter to see all reviews.

I appreciate the off-topic remarks, but my intention is different: I prefer not to see comments in languages other than my own and the one chosen in the comment filter. I don't want to view english comments from Germans, Dutch, French, Russians, or Italians who mistakenly believe their english comments are visible in the USA.

To clarify: if your primary settings are in german language, for instance, your english comment will only be visible to others from your country, not in the USA. If you want your comment to be seen in places like NY, London, or Wellington, you need to set your main language to english.

Not applying language filters for comments can lead to encountering languages you weren't even aware of. This is actually a feature intended for developers who rely on these comments.

Again, no. You can select to only view reviews on your own language or others, you can select and deslect this multiple times, you can check the language you want the review to be published, all this things occur every time regarldess of the language you are using on the app, even if you use multiple languages in between your phone and your PC.

As for comments, comments are comments, they are public to everyone, regardless of the languae you have. Otherwise how would be talking when english is just the language I´m using but not the one on my app or country?
Thank you Space is the Place for your input. I took some time to delve deeper into this subject. I examined several times how the primary language settings correspond to the language of the comment being viewed. I observed that there appears to have been a recent change.
Now, I finally grasp what you are referring to. I won't elaborate further, as it seems unnecessary.

Since I don't typically leave comments myself, I hadn't realized until now that the individual writing the comment, regardless of their primary language settings, manually chooses the language for their comment. If they neglect to do this, their english comment, for instance, becomes visible to individuals with diverse language preferences. This occurs quite frequently.

Until there is a modification in comments similar to YouTube, where you can write in your language and the reader has the option to translate it into their own language using AI, we are reliant on the author's intelligence. However, if that change occurs, the reader might be influenced by factors other than language
