Stuck in a loop with my mobile authenticator
So basically, in a nutshell, I have drowned my previous phone by accident that had my steam mobile authenticator on it over a week ago and I am trying to set up the authenticator on my new phone. I have selected the I no longer have access to my steam guard option on my phone and went through the recovery process of having steam send me a code to my phone number to reset my authenticator, which I have entered afterwards. So good, so far, until I get to the part where steam asks to write down my recovery code, where If I choose the continue option, steam will pretend as If nothing have happened at all, will kick me back to the login screen, wont sign me in or anything and will keep asking me for my steam guard code when I do try to login.... And all of that happening on the same phone through steam mobile app....What am I supposed to do about this? I really want to avoid the whole hassle of having to fight with steam support because of a thing like this.

If it keeps looping like that, try logging in on a PC browser instead and finish the recovery there sometimes the mobile app bugs out. Also make sure the Steam app is fully updated. If that still doesn’t work, sadly Steam Support is your best bet, even if it’s a pain they’re the only ones who can fully reset things on their end.
