Appealing is futile.

Neither Steam Support nor anyone on this forum can remove VAC bans, even if you feel the ban was wrongly applied.

Those kind of bans are applied if a known cheat is detected while the account, or an account related to the banned one by family library sharing or phone number sharing, connected to a secure server.

In accordance with Section 1 C of the Steam Subscriber Agreement, you are responsible for all actions on your account, no matter who used the account.

VAC bans are permanent and non-negotiable, no matter the motive or reason.
Therefore, due to their futility, VAC ban appeals are off-topic everywhere on Steam.

you can look forward to another 50 years of ban.

and then another 50 after that.

do you sense a pattern ?

Temporary bans were tried and did not work.

don't try to pipe up about how VAC 'should' work. You've already proven you don't appreciate playing by the rules.

valve did temporary bans, and every cheater went right back to cheating. theres no point in testing further data there.

game cheaters don't take the game seriously in the first place, and so its too much to expect them to follow the rules.

They also don't change, rather than make a new account and turn over the leaf, they are going to sit and seethe and think thoughts like

'i shouldn't be banned' and try to influence events to their future advantage,

rather than facing the reality: 'I was banned because i broke the rules, and now this is the punishment. maybe i should try something different.'

sure, getting a VAC ban isn't a crime irl, but inside the bounds of this platform, it is penalized, and you also forfeit rights because of it, due to an account 'not in good standing.'

but every dev can make a rule for their own game. if you don't appreciate the rules they create, consider concluding use of the product.

I love that you think you need to be an adult to understand the difference between right and wrong. What a moronic viewpoint.

so you know cases of players who continued cheating after 10 years of vac ban? these amount of times are enough to make a person almost completely different... i am talking about these time frames not 1month or 1 year.
You are not banned. only the account is. You are not tied to that banned account.

So If a ban gets lifted after, lets say 5 years, all I have to do is to cheat and grind for skins and weapons with a bot and can profit after those 5 years?

Does anyone see a problem with that?
Cathulhu 24 Oct, 2023 @ 5:39am
Valve saw the problem with that and decided that all bans should be permanent instead. Which happened back in 2005.

VAC is not a parenting service for kids or their parents, in fact, kids shouldn't even use Steam, age of use per agreement is 13 at least. If you are kid that age and don't know right or wrong at this point, maybe the parents are there to "correct" that behavior prior to the kids trying some shady stuff out on Steam being a subscriber to the agreement. All the rules in place apply to whatever age in the same way but at least at age 13, that already counts as "teenager". When i was 13, i knew actions have consequences, you don't need to be the brightest kid in the room to understand that. People at age 13 should also understand the ToS, EULA, SSA, Online conduct, forum rules etc. before becoming a regular Steam member with an own account. It's a matter of research and reading, if you don't understand cheating is wrong with the age of 13, you shouldn't play VAC-secured games in the first place, it's that simple.

Sharing accounts is a good way to get it terminated. Which is worse than any VAC ban.

Yes, we know you did not learn or regret anything and only want to get your skins sold.
Not that it matters, the Ban is permanent.
