Not a vac ban, that's a game ban. Game bans are given for more than just cheating
All explained in the info link on your profile, you should give it a read. These are community only forums, nobody from valve is here so you're wasting your time posting about it here
I understand now that it’s a game ban, not a VAC ban. But I still don’t know the exact reason.
Here's what happened: I was playing a competitive match in CS2 and I suspected that some enemies were using cheats. I started reporting them multiple times — like 20 or 30 reports. But later I realized that I had accidentally reported my own teammate many times instead of the enemy.
I fixed the mistake and reported the right players afterward. Then, two days later, I got this ban. I’ve never used cheats or software — I just made a reporting mistake.
Do you think this could be the reason for the ban? And is there anything I can do to appeal it or fix it?
I’d really appreciate any advice you could give. Thanks again.
Your reports have nothing to do with your ban.
Counter-Strike 2 game bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support.
