regardless of what it was you're responsible for your own account and therefore this ban isn't being removed

Your account was stolen years ago and you forgot about it, even though it's a keepsake?

Well, first of all, that statement doesn't make sense. If the account is important to you, how could you have forgotten it?

Secondly, it sounds like it didn't originally belong to you, which is a violation of Steam's usage rights.

In any case, your ban is permanent and cannot be removed. You should have been aware of this after all these years, right?
