I Can't play source 1 games* even if im game banned and not VAC banned.
So, i was trying to play this source game called "Pirates VIkings and Knights II" so i joined a server and... oh i cant move and im dying... then it kicks me for "Past cheating violations on Steam" which is true i have a ban... A GAME BAN. not a VAC ban, and to top it all of, in the list of source games i cant play theres also HL2: DM (which also doesnt let me move and kicks me for "Past cheating violations on Steam") and Team Fortress 2, but guess what? i can still play TF2! why cant i play any other community server based games? Valve even stated that i should be able to play games cause game bans are for game-specific: https://steamhost.cn/help_steampowered_com/en/faqs/view/46DB-4CEC-F7E9-49E5 So why shouldnt it let me play? the only answer i could find is probably the Old Valve API checking if you HAVE game bans but not WHAT games you're banned. By the way this is also Valve own policy! i cant believe this went unseen for so long, you could be game banned on a game that isnt even stated in the list and still not able to play. But really, can someone help?

While VAC and game bans (in most cases) do not affect other games, some server admins of custom servers intentionally ban players that have VAC or game bans in other games from their custom servers because they deem such players to not be trustworthy. Nobody wants to play with cheaters, rule violaters or gullible players that allow others to cheat or break rules on their behalf.

Okay, but why can i also play custom TF2 servers then? I think it's more than server admins and rather the API not being updated on those games, im not disregarding the fact i got game banned but the fact that (for example) i could have been banned for harassment on CS2 (a game not even present on the list) and still not be able to play and met with a 'Past """"""Cheating"""""" violation on Steam' kick, and remember that this is Valve's policy on game bans, i SHOULD be able to play.

No. Valve, Steam nor the game itself don't have anything to do with it. It solely depends on the server admins and how they configured their servers.
