Can a VAC ban be lifted after many years?
Hello, dear Steam and Valve support team.

I am writing to you with a sincere request to reconsider my VAC ban, which was issued more than 1000 days ago. Almost three years have passed since then, and during this time, I have fully realized my mistakes. I am ashamed of my past behavior and deeply regret violating the rules you have established.

At the time of the ban, I was inexperienced and didn’t fully understand the seriousness of my actions or the consequences of using prohibited software. Now I fully realize that fair play is an essential part of the gaming community, and I will never again resort to cheating or any third-party interference.

I kindly ask you to give me a chance to restore access to competitive modes and the full functionality of the game. I promise to strictly follow all Steam and Valve rules and to respect the integrity and sportsmanship of the game.

I understand that the VAC system does not normally allow manual unbans, but I hope my message will at least be reviewed and heard. Thank you in advance for your time and understanding.

Sincerely,
KATANA

No.

VAC bans are permanent.

Also there is no Valve here, this is a user forum.

No second chances.
Long ago, VAC bans weren't permanent. You can probably guess what everyone did as soon as their bans ended.

So it took you almost three years to understand what unfair behavior means? It took a while.

But that's something that, from a purely logical point of view, you don't actually have to learn.

Strange request, considering what you wrote shortly afterward.

You don't have to promise anything; you actually already agreed to the rules when you created your account and, as you can see, you didn't stick to them.

And here we come to the sentence that makes your headline and the sentence mentioned earlier seem odd. As you can see, you're well aware that there's no chance your ban can be removed, yet you're asking twice.

"Permanent" and "cannot be removed by support" are terms you're familiar with.

Then why did you bother posting?

Bought account, looking at the 1 coherent post they made vs this one.
No a VAC ban is permanent until the end of time . And a ChatGPT script is not going to make any difference

Search for hope in a time of deep despair?

Well said. Setting up a new steam account is all the difference they need.
