Cooldowns =/= VAC bans

I was playing csgo and randomly started to lag then lagged out of the game and said I had a vac ban and I couldn’t play anymore I’ve never cheated in a single game I’ve played had steam for like 6 years

Are you sure you're not confusing this with a VAC error and just panicking because of the word "VAC"?

What exactly does the in-game message say? Word for word.

I’ll have to look when I get home but it’s vac banned it says and I looked it up online and it says I can’t do anything about it

It's definitely not a vac ban, otherwise it would be visible on your profile.

It's often confused with a cooldown or, more often, a vac error.

As I said, we'd first need to know the exact message to be sure.

sounds like you seen a Vac error message then you thought you got banned. or the other option is you got a global cooldown
