You cannot appeal a VAC ban.

VAC bans are exclusively issued for cheating and are both permanent and non-negotiable.

You should not share your phone number. It is used to identify you as the account owner. If an account is detected as using cheats and its phone number is linked to other accounts at the time of infraction, they will get banned, too.

You are responsible for the recency of your account information, this includes removing phone numbers you no longer own.

You are warned each time of the consequences for applying the phone number when you receive the confirmation SMS. Nobody but you can apply the phone number you own.

Yes vacban are for cheating and yes it can also be given over phone sharing when the other account was caught cheating then all accounts what shares the same number at the time of infraction then all profiles will get a ban

Can I appeal my VAC ban?
No. VAC bans cannot be appealed. If a VAC ban is issued incorrectly it will be automatically removed after investigation, but Steam Support does not manually remove VAC bans applied to accounts for any reason.

I was not using my account when it was VAC banned. Can the ban be removed?
No. Any bans added to an account will remain regardless of who was using the account at the time the infraction occurred. Ultimately, the use and security of your Steam account are your responsibility.

While we understand this can be frustrating, we must maintain a zero tolerance policy for cheating to foster a fair game that all players will enjoy.

How do VAC bans relate to phone numbers?
VAC bans are applied to all accounts sharing a phone number at the time of the infraction. For this (and many other) reasons we do not recommend sharing your phone number or using another user's phone number on your Steam account. Accounts sharing the phone number that do not own the game the VAC ban is for will still receive a VAC ban and will not be able to purchase the game moving forward.

There are no restrictions placed on phone numbers that were on an account when the account was VAC banned; phone numbers can immediately be used on new accounts.

Note: This feature is not enabled for all games and is used at the discretion of the developer.

Right no posts about this whatsoever 1653 day old ban ... you must be honestly very attached to this account to wait all this time before you complain about it ...

I was playing on PS4, then I upgraded to PS5 so I didn’t really bother chasing down this issue. But now that I’m back on PC, of course I want access to my account again. I’ve spent time (and money) on it, and it’s frustrating to come back just to get punished for something I didn’t even do.

But while i'm at it, let me point out, you played Crab game on 4 november 2021, apex legends on 19 march 2023 and then Counter strike 2 on 3 July 2025. so you had access to your profile and could have posted at any earlier time, as you would have seen the ban. And you still have access to your profile, as you are currently using it to post
