bans only transfer at the time of the cheating infraction, not after. all accounts with the same number will be banned at the same time if any of them earn a game/vac ban.

vac bans are not applied retroactively. Adding the same phone number to a new account won't ban the new account. However, VAC bans issued after the phone number was added to the new account will apply to the new account as well.

the only time when bans gets given to multiple accounts is if the all accounts shared the same phone number at the time of infraction. if you use a different number for each account at the time of infraction then only the one account will get the ban. if the account already have a ban and you create a new account with the same number then the ban will not carry over, unless you go and cheat again

okay so what if there isnt a number number set up in the steam profile but the 2 accounts are sharing a number with steam gaurd does that count as sharing a number for a cross ban or is sharing a number only with the actual steam number linked

if there is no mobile number on either one, I'll guess then ban won't carry across at time of infraction. I'm including both links to steam guard information below. But of course, best is not to cheat, but if one account already have an ban, then you don't have to worry on your other/new account

Why are you so concerned by this. Just don't cheat and you won't get vacced.

is there a reason for these questions? the more you ask, the more it sounds like "I am planning on using an account to cheat and dont want to get my other accounts banned..."

Dont cheat. Play fair. Also we are talking lifetime bans. Dunno why anyone would risk that but here we are.
