Hello, I need help and advice. My EA account linked to my Steam account was hacked on August 1st. The hacker changed the email to one I don’t recognize, and I lost all access.
I’ve already submitted a support ticket to EA with all my proof, and I’m waiting for a response.

However, I’m very concerned that the hacker might log in to those games via Steam and use cheats or do something against the rules.

Could this get my Steam account VAC banned or cause any kind of penalty?

if cheating occurs/occurred on the account, in a game secured by Valve Anti Cheat, yes, it will be banned.
