VAC bans should be long but temporary

At least in my opinion. Im thinking of maybe like a 5 year ban at most and at least like a 3 year ban. They're both pretty long times. I have 2 reasonings for this.

1: They're both pretty long times, as i stated before. Its unlikely someone will try and cheat again after that. If someone uses a throwaway account to cheat they'll make a new one after being banned anyway.

2: This forum will not die since there will still be kids complaining about vac bans here every few minutes. After all 3-5 years is a pretty long span of time. Especially for someone whos like 9 or 10.

Bans for cheating should be permanent. There is no reason to let cheaters just rotate their accounts.

Also it's not about this forum surviving. This forum is literally a dumpster for threads complaining about bans, so they don't pollute other forums...

If they are desperate enough to cheat on a new account, they will cheat even more knowing, that they will just get the ability to play back.

Cheaters recycled accounts when VAC bans were temporary (1, then 5 years) back until 2005.
