you do know that there's a difference between hackers and cheaters right? i mean, seeing how your nickname is old fart.
Currently, never. Back in 2012 I got it every time I played L4D2, but the error message in that game doesn't tell you you're getting a VAC error, it says "client timed out," so I was following what everyone was saying to get rid of that. Once I learned what that actually meant though I was able to fix the problem within a couple minutes and haven't had it since.
That answer was found in the pinned topics at the top of the forum.
whenever i use my PC in the other office to play, it's on wireless. i never get this error on wired connection 👍
Thanks ill do some more research
By nature there is no difference. Both are attempting to cheat the system.
I only had to do it every once in a while until this most recent update where they changed all the map groupings. Since then it's been ticking me off
