Really stupid question
A long time ago back in like 2019 2020 maybe I was in the hospital with Syringomyelia
and had to under go surgery and was there for about a week/week and half, my little brother has always shared my pc around this time because we where younger and not so well off (I had saved up and bought a hp desktop and stuffed a gt 1030 in it) and he constantly would play csgo on my steam account and was cheating with auto strafes and walls and toggles ect I guess the day of my surgery the vac wave hit and my account was instantly banned and I'm not gonna lie I was heart broken but I googled and saw that there p much irreversible and I even asked some friends what if I got a doctors note, I'm just curious if its still any worth to try an appeal I live in Vermont and we have this thing called MyChart which shows medical history time and dates etc so I have proof for p much that whole month that I wasn't the one with direct access to my account and cheating (feel free to flame me lol idrc just curious)

Lol. No.

Permanent.
Valve isn't your gym teacher, they don't care about your doctor's note.

Your story being true or not does not matter. All that matters is account cheats = account gets banned. It does not matter who was using the account at the time of the infraction.
To expand on this: It doesn't matter who cheated on the account when the account gets banned when it comes to VAC bans.

Account security is the responsibility of the account owner.

Which is why when an account is caught cheating, the account is banned. Not the account owner.
Option A)
You voluntarily shared your login credentials with your brother, which is already a violation of Steam's Terms of Service.

Option B)
He obtained your login credentials through another means, so you weren't keeping proper care of them.

Regardless of which option applies to you, in both cases you are also to blame for the ban because you are responsible for the security of your account, and it doesn't matter who used the cheats.

So your ban is not only permanent and irremovable, but also correct.

The topic that existed before your surgery.

I have received a VAC ban - what do I do now?

As Valve has a zero-tolerance policy towards cheating, all VAC bans are permanent in nature and will not be lifted over time. Once you receive a VAC ban you may no longer play on VAC secure servers.

sharing accounts are not allowed unless done via family sharing. Now if your brother cheated on your profile, then ban is correct and cannot be appealed
