Animation broken after export from blender
So this might just be me overlooking something basic
but i'm have trouble exporting animations from blender.
I've looked around and couldn't find anyone having the same problem as me

As far as i can tell it seems the exported .smd animation gets corrupted when exported (not compiled)

Here's what the animation looks like in blender

here's what it looks like in hl model viewer after i compile it

and here what it looks like if i import my exported .smd's back into blender
(i'm not decompiling the model, im importing the .smd files i just exported)

I'm using the latest BleST tools (ver. 2.10.2) and Blender 2.79b (Steam version)

Exporting to .dmx gives the same result and seeing as importing the .smd into blender after exporting them
it's have to be blender doing something (or maybe me forgetting to do something).
using "implicit motionless bone" or/and "legacy rotation" does noting.

Here's the files i'm using

EDIT: Ok so i played around with it some more and it looks like the bones from the model are getting offset somehow (not rotated), if i import the ref .smd without animations into blender the bones are all in front of the model instead of inside it.

EDIT 2:
So i've played around with it again and discovered something odd.
The bones only get offset if you export your model when it has animation data in blender

Example: If i make a model with bones and export it BEFORE doing any sort of animation it works fine

If i then animate and reexport the model (doesn't matter if i export the animations with it) the bones get offset

Does anyone know wth is going on?

This is a bug in the exporter related to moving the root bone of the model. It's already fixed and awaiting release once Blender 2.80 comes out.

Until then, you can work around it by exporting the mesh first, then the animation.
