Issue with vertices from HybridPhysx models from l4d2
Hello, I'm trying to import the animated Gas station model from l4d/ l4d2 (I got it from the left 4 dead 2 files, I'm aware that it was initially from left 4 dead) and it's got a big problem.
This is what it looks like in Hammer: https://i.imgur.com/NVJmfaA.png
This is what it looks like in My Blender project: https://i.imgur.com/obioAIm.png
This is what it looks like with the skeleton not hidden: https://i.imgur.com/e1KM3qc.png
This is what my Crowbar decompile settings are: https://i.imgur.com/oAcOjm2.png
And this is an error that I don't understand when I import it: https://i.imgur.com/EpS1rzg.png

Any help for this would be nice, I really don't understand but it seems as if some vertices aren't following the proper objects. the problem vertices are always in the same "Object" but they're not following their section. https://i.imgur.com/MLY5pEd.png

Damn, this bug is two years old! It will be fixed in the next release. Only SMD imports containing vertices with the same position but different weight maps were affected.

I decompiled with Crowbar 0.56 and 0.68; the decompiled files are the same. I compiled from the decompiled 0.68 files and viewed the "boom" sequence in L4D2 HLMV and compared it with the original model; the recompiled sequence looks the same as the original one.

I do not understand why the vertices look weird when animating in Blender, but the model seems to animate correctly when recompiled.

So could this be a problem with Blender reading it wrong since it doesn't seem to be a crowbar error?

I'm importing the .qc file into blender. I've uploaded them to MEGA:

(link removed so I added a space in the "https", paste the whole line and remove it to go to the right place)

Nice, I'm happy to know that it's a solvable problem. I can't wait for the release; do you have an estimated date?

No, but you can download the latest code from GitHub if you need the changes now.
