[SOLVED] Problems Exporting Viewmodel as a Reference .smd
Hey everyone, I've recently been working on viewmodels for Garry's Mod that have a reference.smd file, and animations.
I'm looking for help with exporting my reference.smd file, as Blender always tries to "Export Selected Objects". However, I want to only export one file, the reference pose.

Before I try exporting the reference.smd file, I used the Add Bone Constraint to make the root bone of my weapon target the ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Hand. Next, I select the bones of the citizen arms in Object Mode, which also selects all the bones in my weapon model. Then I select the weapons model. Finally, I head over to the Scene Tab, scroll down to Source Engine Export section, and click the Export button. This brings up a little window asking if I want to export Selected objects (2 files). Obviously, I want to export all the bones (including the weapon bones), and only the mesh of the weapon, all as one reference.smd file. Here is a screenshot if you would like to see exactly what I mean:

Even when I decide to go through with the 2 file export, I just get .smd 's that I can't use.

If you have any questions with needing me to give you a little bit more information with this issue to give you a better understanding of what I've done up to this point.

Also, please note that I did search around for a few hours looking to see if anybody had a problem similar to mine, but couldn't find anything here on the discussions, or on Google.

Thanks in advance

Just select only reference mesh in object mode and expot it.

Thanks, this worked perfectly. My method explained above worked for me twice for other viewmodels, but perhaps I did something different with this one.
