is this normal?
When i try to import certan QCs into blender, it lodes the model, compleatly normal, but the vreticies are on the "floor" behind it, offset by 90 degrees. When i go into edit mode while the mesh is selected, it snaps backward to the same position as the verticies. When the scelaton is selected and i use edit mode, both the mesh and the scelaton snap to the vertices. When i use edit mode on the vertices, um, well... nothing wired hapens. Pose mode works fine.
Import animations is on (even thow the only animation is a still "idle" SMD file). Up axis dosent mater, becuse the QC file sets that itself. rotation m is set to euler. bone shape is set to defalt (not the defalt option, witch stupidly is "Sphere", but the option named "Defalt")
it was exported using crowbar with these settings:
QC file=yes
Group into QCI files=no
Each $texturegroup skin-family on single line=yes
Include $definebone lines (typical for view models)=no
Reference mesh SMD file=yes
Apply "Right-Hand Fix" (only for survivors in L4D2)=no
Bone animation SMD files=yes
Place in "anims" subfolder=yes
Texture BMP files (GoldSorce)=no
LOD mesh SMD files=yes
Physics mesh SMD file=yes
Vertex animation VTA file (face flexes)=yes
Procedural bones VRD file=yes
Folder for each model=yes
Format for stricter importers=no
Log file=yes
Decompile-info comments and files=yes

Mind if I ask you why you deleted your previous thread on this a couple of days ago (as I was writing a response to it of why it is normal)?

Anyway, to answer why it's normal, in much less detail than before:
The armature is rotated, and the mesh is parented to the armature while the vertices aren't.

Sometimes It's better to import just reference model instead of whole qc so it won't be messed up on scene. Some qc's might be very complicated to handle them properly.

I didn't like the way my post the other day was written, so I deleted it out of emberesment. I tried to wright too much in one post, and so steam wouldn't let me. I had to cut a bunch out, but I still couldn't make it fit in a subsequent post. Only yesterday did it occur to my that I could just use a link to the steam workshop.

Thank you both for the help.
