which is bad right?
Using the Source SDK's files: Great, at least with a little tweaking, as they're outdated.
Using a mix: Probably a bad idea.

you think the problem is the mesh or qc?
EDIT: My fault forgot the phys mesh but now im getting a "ERROR: Rotation constraint on bone "bip_hippouch_0" which has no parent!!!". yet in blender it has.
EDIT 2: turns out it was the phys mesh that caused the problem (i screwed up the weight paint) all good now
