GUIStudioMDL exporter problem
I don't have neither Half life 1 ep 1 nor orange box. Does that mean I can't make any models for gmod? Because that would be pretty lame honestly.

Firstly, don't use outdated tools (GUIStudioMDL is an example). Secondly, use Team Fortress 2's compiler for the best results (seeing as Garry's Mod fully supports Team Fortress 2-compiled models, Team Fortress 2 compiles DirectX 7<, 8, and 9> models, and Team Fortress 2 is free).

Umm isn't it the same as GUIStudioMDL? Because I can't even find the one you're talking about.

If you can't find it, you haven't installed Team Fortress 2, because it's included with it.

Pretty sure I did actually install tf2, I just don't know where to find it.

But it opens for a fraction of a second then closes... Why does valve have to make these thing so hard to do? God dammit.

Because it's SUPPOSED to do that when you don't tell it what to compile.

And how am I supposed to tell it what to compile? I'm new to this, I had no idea that making simple models required so much stuff to do. What do I do?

As with all other command-line tools: Command-line parameters.

As for "what do you do": You follow this, making sure the path of StudioMDL is set to blahblah/Team Fortress 2/bin/studiomdl.exe, and the -game parameter is set to blahblah/garrysmod/garrysmod.
