SMD Export "NoneType" Attribute Error
Hi,

I currently trying to convert an SFM Model to TF2. But when I try to export it, I get this error message: http://up.akuba.eu/2014-12/15104508.png

The Helpsite had no Informations about it an Google was not helpfull with this.

Using Blender 2.72b with BleST 2.3.

Does someone have an iddea what could be wrong? I checked all bonenames three times for non ASCII Character but found none. The Export Tool is also Setup.

One thing that would help would be a screenshot of the entire screen, not just the error.

Ok: http://up.akuba.eu/2014-12/15114604.png

I am not sure what that error with the qc file mean, It does not matter what I write in, it is always a error.

1904x1001? That's a pretty odd resolution for a monitor. Either way, nothing there seems to be out of order. Try using DMX instead of SMD.

I using ShareX for Screenshots, my monitor resolution is 1920x1080 ^^. Does Team Fortress 2 Support DMX?

EDIT: DMX does not work, same Error message.

I don't think Team Fortress 2 supports DMX (other than that one player stats file), but it neither supports SMD. StudioMDL, which is used to compile SMDs and DMXes into MDLs, supports DMX, though. But yeah, I have not the slightest clue what the error in Blender could mean. Can you import a different SMD (or DMX), and export it if you make no changes?

Testet an Model decompiled from TF2 that worked without any problem. But on this Model, I opend the .qc file and on the model that is not exportable I do not opend the .qc file. Can this be the reason why it is not working?

I said SMD, not QC.

Ups, sorry :s. Worked with other SMD file. So I have the feeling something is missing in this model.

This has nothing to do with the export format. The issue is that you're trying to export a vertex animation but your scene doesn't have a rigid body world. You need to either create one from Scene Properties, or remove your vertex animation(s).

I'll fix the error for the next release, as it should be possible to do the export without the rigid body world.

Oh, I did not noticed that there is an Vertex Animation. Export was successfull :D. Now I hope that the Model is working in TF2 :D.

Thank you for you're quick responce :)
